A professional chef, Jim has demonstrated his expertise in the IAC kitchen for the past three years. With wife “ The Baker" Doreena, the cooking duo were married in 1984 and have sons Keith, James(JM), and Daniel. Jim served in the US Navy for two decades, retiring as Senior Chief, and now works as a civil servant for the past 15 years. This New York transplant was born in Smithtown NY and has lived in Jacksonville since 1989, currently lives in Middleburg since 2005. He is second generation Italian and first generation Welsh born in this country. His hobbies include fishing, gardening, model building and his passion is cooking. Jim's favorite things about our Club: "I love the stories I hear from people, sharing recipes and teaching what I can about cooking.” He decided to become the President as he feels he can make a difference and help move our club forward in the year ahead.
Vincent is known as "Tall Vinny" by some or "Skinny Vinny "by some others at the IAC. He is a native New Yorker, and his home town was Port Jefferson on Long Island. After his wife, Sonia, past away in 2015 he moved to St.Johns to live near his son Robert, daughter-in-law and his 2 grandsons. His oldest grandson, Thomas, is now in the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Another son John lives on his 100 acre farm in up state NY. Vinny retired from Grumman Aircraft as design engineer in the flight department. His hobby is fishing and also skied for 50 years. He has been a member of the IAC since March of 2016. He was Board Chairman in 2017 and now is the IAC Vice President. Vinny’s favorite thing about the IAC is the people. Vinny says, "Being a little shy, they me feel welcomed and I also feel like they are family to me and I now have some very close friends here."

As a computer support person, Gina brings IT expertise to our board. Another Jersey Girl, she has lived in Jacksonville for more than 20 years now. Married with two grown sons, Gina enjoys a variety of family activities. She is a fan of greyhounds, music and cabins in the mountains when not volunteering at the club.. "The people...I just love them," Gina says about IAC, "feels like home when you are there!"
Sandy hails from Detroit, Michigan with her family name origin being “D`Aliessio” (later changed to Dallas). Sandy is a Jacksonville resident of almost 40 years now. She has 2 daughters of her own and 5 stepchildren, with two grandchildren and many step-grandchildren. She is a retired teacher and enjoys picture puzzles, knitting, illustrative drawing and anything to do with arts and crafts. Sandy has been an active member of the IAC since 2004 and has served on the Board previously. We are glad to have her back on the Board! She loves the people at the Club she has met over the years, and the love and joy that exists as extended family and - of course - the food!
Melanie is a Jacksonville native, but grew up in Hialeah,
Florida. Four years ago, she returned to the River City. She and husband Mike
have two children and four grands. Past jobs in secretarial and veterinarian
techs, her most fun employ was meet and
greet with Princess Cruises. Mel's interests include genealogy, birding and
plants, especially orchids. A new IAC member, she stepped up to the plate last year to
fill a Board vacancy, because she "loves the people."

Anne is a transplant from far-away Aschoffenburg, Germany. She has lived in Jacksonville with her two lovely daughters for 24 years and enjoys being a stay-at- home mom. Anne is retired from jobs in retail management and personnel manager for an engineering company. Our fraulein loves visits with family in her homeland. She admits to being a sci-fi novel junkie, especially works of Dean Koontz. You can find her at the club most days arranging rentals, decorating for events, and making sure things run smoothly. Her favorite thing about her two years at IAC..."The people."
MENA VESCE: BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mena hails from the Big Apple with a charming Bronx accent, but lived most of her life in New Jersey. Married to hubby Lou, they have been active in IAC for 1more than 10 years. She has two children, three grandkids, and is great-grandmother to four. In addition to parenting, Mena has held many diversified jobs including administrative office assistant. This multi-talented gal sings with the voice of an opera soprano, Betty Crocker would envy her baking and she even has an interest in theater. Mena is happy to serve on the board again because of "...camaraderie, meeting new people and exploring our culture. I have made many good, loving friends."
